Cleaning With Witchcraft

If you saw my post about 5 Ways To Incorporate Witchcraft Into Your Everyday Life, you might be curious how to specifically use magic when cleaning. Well, cleaning with witchcraft is very easy! I am going to share with you my favorite ways to incorporate magic into my cleaning routine. Make sure you keep reading for one of my personal recipes!

Easy Magical Cleaning Solution

This is my go-to cleaning solution for windows, counters, and tables! It is easy to make and you probably already have everything you need!

  • 1 cup water (*can use tap or moon water)
  • .5 cup white vinegar
  • .5 cup rubbing alcohol (*or 70% MAX isopropyl alcohol)
  • 5 – 8 drops essential oils (*total)
  1. If your spray bottle doesn't have measurements on it, use your measuring cup and add your water. Follow up by mixing it together by swishing your bottle in a clock-wise motion. That's all there is to it!!

  • You have so many options for water. If you have hard water, I recommend using filtered water instead. You can mix in moon water with that or use all moon water!
  • For more tough cleaning jobs, leave the solution on for a long time to help break down the dirt.
  • Vinegar might not be the best solution to certain surfaces. Make sure you check that vinegar will not cause long term damage.
  • The essential oil ratio might be different for you based off of the essential oils you use and your scent preferences. Play around with it!

Floors

cleaning with witchcraft, mopping, mop

Mopping (specifically a microfiber wet mop in my case) is a simple way of using witchcraft in your cleaning routine. If you have laminate, tile, or any non carpeting flooring throughout your home, this is the fail safe way to add a protective element to every square foot of your home! I like to add a drop of moon water and protective or healing essential oils into my mop water. Stir it in clock-wise while asking for protection, good health, etc.

Windows

Windows are like the eyes of the home. Think of them as your home’s version of a Nazar (an amulet used to ward off the Evil Eye). Think of your windows as a core piece of setting up protections around your house. Use care and clean them using products with protective properties such as sage or rosemary essential oils.

Doors

If windows are the eyes to your home, your entryways are the gateways. Neglecting the cleanliness of your doorways can open the flood gates to allow negative energy into your home! I know I am guilty of letting my outdoor chores slip my mind! Make sure all of the debris is swept away. For an added boost, set plants by the doorway in order to add passive protections that will be long lasting.

Mirrors

Mirrors might not come to mind as an important piece of your cleaning routine, especially the ones that are not used as much. But mirror magic is extremely common! Mirrors are used for scrying (a form of divination) and glamour magic for example. But as much as we can get positive energy from gazing into a mirror, we can easily be put into a bad mood. Forgetting to clean your mirror regularly can open it up to bad energy that can radiate throughout the room and even your house!

Surfaces

Keeping up with my home anatomy analogy, the counters, table tops, and over flat surfaces are like the skin of your home. If tended to regularly, you’ll notice a clear difference in the feel of your home! When cleaning my counters, I like to think more of creating a healthy home, so I like to add eucalyptus, tea tree, and lemon/orange into my cleaning solutions.
